Improving your client reviews is a great way to show potential clients the value you provide at your salon.

Here are several ways that you up your review game with your clients…

Don’t ignore the negative!

When a client leaves a negative or suggestive review it can feel very disheartening. But don’t take these reviews as a complete negative, as they can be great feedback to make improvements. These types of reviews can help you to better meet your clients’ needs and expectations, and it also shows that you value their opinions and feedback.

Ask!

Getting reviews from clients can be difficult, but like they say, if you don’t ask you don’t get! To increase your chances of getting reviews from clients, allow them to leave you a review in as many ways as possible such as via your website, as a note on their next appointment card, a QR code that they scan whilst in the chair, via your social media channels, within a follow-up email, or even as a quick written note at reception. Asking for reviews in different ways can encourage clients to share their experience with your salon in a way that’s convenient for them.

Strike up a conversation! 

Replying to your clients’ reviews allows you to see what people are saying about your salon and address their concerns and issues publicly for others to see. When you reply to negative reviews, you can find solutions to problems your clients present and show other clients that you want to improve services and correct any issues. You can also reply to positive reviews and thank those for their support.
