After so many ups and lockdowns, the summer of 2021 proved to be one of Teresa Weller’s best yet. We caught up with her here to see what she’s been up to over the last few months…
“After so many ups and downs and hoops to jump through, we were so proud to welcome so many lovely new clients to the salon, and it has been amazing to catch up with all our existing clients. Most importantly, it is just so good to be open and creating beautiful hair.
"This summer also saw us welcome our new Creative Director Katy Jacobs. Katy has a beautiful personality coupled with some serious hair skills! Katy loves balayage and all things colour, but equally, she creates stunning, edgy short haircuts – her skills have no limits! With 20 years’ experience in the industry and having managed previous salons, she has an eye for detail and is as articulate with her hair colour as she is her cutting skills. We are honoured to have Katy join the Teresa Weller HairArt family.
"We are also proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for no less than four awards at the Salon Awards, and we look forward to the award ceremony in November.
"Finally, we are launching our vegan colour range, which is so exciting for us, as we are becoming more inclusive and able to offer more options to our clients.
"So, this summer after Stefanie graduated from Winchester Uni having studied English Literature and Drama, has, as you all know, been juggling front of house with her immaculate colour skills that clearly runs in the family! Stefanie has now decided to train as a hairdresser and join Olivia on that journey - we are so excited to see them grow and progress.
"And what about me? Well, I have been busy juggling the running of the salon and creating beautiful hair, as well as a few very cool shoots this summer that were featured in Surrey Magazine and Premiere Magazine. I also did some amazing collaborations with Surrey Frills and Lucindas Purely and worked on the hair for the gorgeous presenter Niki Hambleton-Jones (10 Years Younger), and whilst enjoying the shop local, local never looked so good, ethos, the wedding season kicked off for us, as I have been travelling up and down the country for brides who finally got their dream day.
"Our final thought goes to our lovely Creative Designer Millie, who is expecting her first baby due February 2022. We are so excited for our first Teresa Weller HairArt baby!
"There is so much more to come, so watch this space!
"However, for now we say a massive thankyou to everyone who has believed in us, and all our guests in the salon that make it so special."
