ClubStar Art Team 2017 Announced
The ClubStar Art team auditions took place at the L’Oréal Academy in London on Monday 10th October for a place on the sought-after education programme.
The process started back in July with entrants submitting a CV and resume outlining what they would bring to the team which was supported by an image of their work. This year was the highest number of entries this opportunity has ever received, and with over 30 young hairdressers, only 19 were chosen to attend the final audition stage.
Past F.A.M.E. Team members Simon Tuckwell and Ellenora Dean were with Council member Kai Wan as they made up the judging panel for the day. It was then a chance to score the young hopefuls on their three minute presentations, in which they explained their cut, colour and style using both a live model and a mood board. Simon Tuckwell said,
We had the highest number of applicants this year for our ClubStar Art Team and today we met with the 19 finalists who had made it through to the auditions. The calibre was incredibly high and we were so impressed with how well everyone presented their ideas and models to us. It was clear that all the applicants had gone to tremendous effort in creating stunning looks and it was amazing to see the commitment from everyone. Thank you to everyone who came along and congratulations to the successful six!
The ClubStar Art Team embark on a year of fantastic mentoring days with top name industry experts, while also developing their skills on stage at trade shows. Congratulations to the final six, and well done to everyone that took part!
