ClubStar X HOB Salons

Share

The HOB Academy in Camden, London saw an excited crowd of HOB fans come together for the Fellowship’s ClubStar HOB Education Team event.

HOB’s Pete Burkill, Jake Unger and Sean Nolan immersed the audience in the HOB philosophy, including methods and explanations behind their latest precision and fashion looks.

Hosted by ClubStar South leader Kerry Mather, the event was a chance for the HOB Education Team to present to the audience what they had been working on for the last year, demonstrating on models to bring their looks to life. Inspired by street style and geometric shapes, the collection had a definite air of trademark HOB style, with lived-in texture and plenty of structure, coupled with a variety of colour techniques including pale pastels and bold brights. The styling was dark and sophisticated, with lace and mesh combining to create something edgy but feminine, finished with subtle make-up by Lucy Thomas.

To conclude the evening, four times British Hairdresser of the Year winner Akin Konizi took centre stage to impart his incredible hairdressing skills and speak passionately about the importance of education and HOB’s relationship with the Fellowship. The ClubStar audience were on the edge of their seats as they soaked up what this industry icon had to share with them about cutting, colouring, styling and learning, relishing the opportunity to interact with such a high-profile hairdresser.

It was a pleasure to welcome ClubStar to the HOB Academy, said the HOB Education Team. For us, education is key to help build and grow our industry, this is a belief we share with the Fellowship. The evening was an opportunity to share our current and emerging cut and colour trends, with something for everyone, from commercial looks through to advanced academy and show work. It was lovely to see some familiar faces and some new ones too! We look forward to welcoming ClubStar back again soon.
