Two artistic directors at popular Pinner salon, D&J Ambrose helped style the models’ hair for a London Fashion Week catwalk show.

Kieran Tudor, 26, and Luke Benson, 27, who work as artistic directors at D&J Ambrose, assisted top stylist Alex Brownsell at the Thomas Tait London Fashion Week show.

The Canadian fashion designer’s collection showcased felted wool jackets and satin coats in bright primary colours, and because the models’ bold make-up echoed the sci-fi clothing, Kieran, who lives above the salon, and Luke, from Berkhampstead, Hertfordshire, were asked to create a slick look to counteract all the colour. Luke said,

Working backstage was super cool for us especially as we’re very much inspired by fashion and catwalk trends.

The show’s hairstyle was all about a dual textured look, which is exactly the direction our artistic work is heading this year.

The brief was ‘wet to dry – Mexican wrestler’: slick and gelled flat to the head running into dry, natural texture from below the occipital bone.
