Inspired by the new brand direction, the Colours of 2019 campaign was created to both utilise these current trends and showcase the quality and performance of the 100% natural and ethically sourced Great Lengths extensions. Special attention has been paid to the volume of shades that are offered to their salons to give them the freedom to create beautiful transformations with a seamless blend.
First to be revealed is colour 36, Deep Plum - a gorgeously toned and vibrant plum shade. The look was completed by Robert and his team:
To create the look, we applied a global application of a bold tone and colour using Wella Colour Touch 55/65 +4%. This ensured the colour blended seamlessly with the new Deep Plum base shade from Great Lengths. Once the colour was complete, we began to apply GL Tapes to create volume and length whilst ensuring the hair remained as natural looking as possible. Our aim was to create a one length bob with depth and shine, which showed off the new addition to the Great Lengths colour range in a great light. We applied eight GL Tapes in 35cm of length through the sides of our models hair, then blended the extensions with the model’s natural hair and cut to a blunt bob, then straightened to style.
Textured, a-line and blunt cut bobs have remained a statement and predominant hairstyle throughout 2019, and this trend doesn’t seem to be going any time soon. Deep Plum is a bold colour choice and we loved experimenting and creating the final look using GL Tapes. We were all extremely pleased with the end result.
