On October 17th the HOB Creative Team, led by International Creative Director and four times British Hairdresser of the Year, Akin Konizi, presented the first HOB Uncut. Taking place in Proud Camden, in the heart of the HOB Academy's very own stomping ground, the team delivered live demonstrations of both their Academy and MUSE Collections. In total, 14 models were presented to an audience of stylists, salon owners and national and international press.

Sean Nolan and current British Colour Technician of the Year, Issie Churcher presented the colour looks for each of the models, Jake Unger, Ian Rotman and Akin demonstrated live haircuts and Pete Burkill dressed hair on stage. The whole event gave a well-rounded insight into the thoughts and processes that make the HOB Creative Team one of the most in demand and award-winning artistic teams in the industry, as well as the courses available at the HOB Academy just down the road.

The idea for the event came from the ever growing success of the HOB Academy Open Day seminars held annually on the Monday of Salon International at the HOB Academy on Camden Lock.  As the demand and popularity grew Akin and his team decided to make it bigger and better, taking over the infamous Proud Camden venue to display their world famous creative process. Speaking to an intimate audience of 120, Akin Konizi gave his perspective on where the hairdressing industry was going, and as a result where the HOB Salons and Academy brand was moving. Inviting everyone to come to the HOB Academy, he told them,

As hairdressers, we are craftsmen, and craftsmen never stop learning.
