HOB Salons Raise £70,000 For Children With Cancer

For the seventh consecutive year, award-winning hairdressing group HOB Salons welcomed Zichron Menachem UK (ZM), the Israeli Association for the Support of Children with Cancer and their families, to their Temple Fortune Salon, raising another £10,000 on the night to achieve a seven year grand total of £70,000!

The charity supporters, aged from five to 20 years old, donated their tresses in return for the ultimate makeover experience with the HOB Salons team, making the evening another triumph for ZM and HOB. The 25 girls who selflessly took part in donating their hair were responsible for raising the staggering amount, and chose the trusted HOB Salons team to ensure they completed their challenge in style. Enjoying a complete makeover from their cut and blow-dry to their make-up and nails, the ladies received the Five Star pampering the HOB Salons group are renowned for.

As well as donating their locks to make wigs for Israeli children suffering from cancer, all those that attended the fundraiser in Temple Fortune raised a colossal amount towards the cost of making wigs and to fund activities for Zichron Menachem. Dina Tangi, one of the coordinators of the project commented,

Tonight was a really amazing night! The atmosphere was incredible and having worked with HOB Salons for a few years now, the charity evening had an unbelievably uplifting feel. From the happiness that these fantastic volunteers will bring to those less fortunate, through to the giving of time and services from the HOB Salons team, the night is a true lesson in what giving is all about.

The annual event is now so popular that the spaces were filled by word of mouth alone and is set to return again next year as the HOB Team continue to support the fantastic Zichron Menachem cause.
