Share

Thousands of hairdressers from all over the world arrived in London last weekend for the biggest event in the industry calendar.

This year saw the global exhibition host a massive six live stages! Highlights included presentations from some of the industry’s best creative teams on the iconic HJ Stage, plus incredible male grooming inspiration from the world’s best barbers and men’s stylists on the HJ Men Stage. The Fellowship for British Hairdressing Stage was also alive with talent from their renowned project teams, F.A.M.E., ClubStar, Colour Project and Project X – plus further shows from the organisation’s key artistic teams.

Brand new for 2016, HJ’s Legends Lounge was a huge hit with the crowds, with the likes of Patrick Cameron, Anthony Mascolo and Annie Humphreys sharing their incredible career stories. The Hair Health Stage and Business Bubble, also new to the exhibition, offered hair and scalp care presentations and brilliant business workshops on important industry topics.

The event also saw hundreds of incredible salon brands exhibiting their hero products and new launches, plus exciting live competitions, Mahogany’s inspirational education seminars, the first-ever National Trichology Conference and a purpose-built auditorium for Salon Live - hosting one-off ticketed shows from the likes of Sassoon Academy, Patrick Cameron, RUSH and TONI&GUY.

Salon International 2016 was bigger and better than ever, says Jayne Lewis-Orr, executive director of Hairdressers Journal International. As always, it’s incredible to see so many hairdressers from all over the world come together in one place – and the addition of our new stages, hubs and events only made the atmosphere even more incredible. Bring on next year!
