Distribution company, Salon Business Solutions (SBS), which counts Nine Yards, EveryGreen and R+Co among its brands, was proud to support Burnley FC in the Community’s latest fundraiser, Trim on the Turf, in association with Boohoo.
On the 4th and 5th of October, SBS took part in the Trim on the Turf fundraiser, where 30 of the north west’s top stylists joined forces at Turf Moor, the home of Premier League side Burnley, for a charity fundraiser to support Burnley FC in the Community.
The event was a huge success and raised close to £5k, with sponsorship from local fashion giant Boohoo who also donated clothing for the pop-up shop with all proceeds going directly to the charity, along with the sale of hair products from Nine Yards UK.
SBS Co-founder Sam Griffiths says,
It was an honour to be able to support this initiative and we thoroughly enjoyed being part of it. The hair industry always comes together to help their communities and it was fantastic to see so many great stylists working side by side to raise money. Sisters Celeste Arnold, Siobhan Hooper, and Chantal Duffy from Celeste Arnold Hair (pictured); Kelly Earnshaw from The Hair Gallery; Claxton Hair (finalists in the BHA North Western category); Images; Christian Smith and Full Extent were among the long list of volunteers, which also included Simon Shaw from Wahl and John Peers.
All proceeds from the event will support Burnley FC in the Community’s vital outreach work in the local area. Burnley FC in the Community is the official charity of Burnley FC, and employs 150 people, supporting over 40,000 people annually.
In 2020 the charity reinvested £3.5m in the local area through outreach programmes. BFCitC also delivered more than 100,000 meals through the Burnley FC in the Community food bank.
