Village salon, Hairlounge47 in Kelvedon has reached the Backstage Finals of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Awards 2017 for the second year running.

They have successfully been selected to go through in two categories – L’Oreal Colour and Men’s Image Awards. They will now go head to head with salons such as Toni & Guy at the Backstage Live Final on April 23rd.

Hundreds of photographic images from across the country were judged by the most influential names in hairdressing including Trevor Sorbie MBE and hairdressing icon Charles Worthington MBE. Hairlounge47 fought off stiff competition and were successfully chosen to go through to the next round of the competition – the Backstage Live Finals.

The next stage of the competition will put the team through their paces as they will now have to create a live model look that demonstrates awareness for autumn/winter 2017/18 hair and fashion trends. The team of judges are looking for a trend-setting, show stopping total look that can inspire clients and hairdressers.

Hairlounge47 Manageress, Caroline Lane said,

For us to reach the L’Oreal finals for the second year running has shown that last year was not a fluke. We are proud to be a village salon and have demonstrated we can compete with the very best. We are not going just to enjoy the experience but to WIN.

From these live events just the top four salons will go forward to compete at the L'Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final to be held on 5th June in London. This stage leaves them just one step away from scooping the unparalleled prize of national media exposure and glamorous fashion shoots and much more!
