Africa models for show

Members of the HOB Salons Creative Team were requested for a second time this year by z.one for their biannual event, which the company put on for all their customers across the globe.

Industry icon Akin Konizi was joined by his Head of Education Claire Atkinson, 2010 British Colour Technician of the Year Christel Lundqvist and Education Team members Andrea Martinelli and Christy Blake as they jetted off to the event in Milan, Italy, earlier this month.

Hosted every two years by z.one concept, the international event welcomes customers of the brand from all over the world to experience the latest in trends and teamed up with HOB Salons for their biggest event yet.

Named ‘Infusion Nights Experience’, the event took place at the Alcatraz - one of Italy’s most renowned music venues - making it one of the biggest shows that the team have headed up, presenting to an audience of over 1,200 people.

Working with the theme of different continents, the team styled 14 models to suit one of five sections representing Asia, Africa, Europe, the USA as well as incorporating a mini section based on the team's home town of Camden in London, depicting HOB’s take on street fashion.

An inspirational video was shown for each of the continents and played to the audience before the models for that style took to the stage.

Speaking on the two and a half hour event, HOB Salons’ International Creative Director Akin Konizi said,

This was a great event to be part of and we always enjoy working with z.one. Showcasing the trends to such a huge audience was fantastic for us as a company, and flying the flag for British hairdressing is always an honour.
