Bora Aksu: Get the Look with Nine Yards

Stylist Claire Grech at Streeters and her team used Swedish vegan hair range, Nine Yards to create the soft textured pinned-up twist inspired by the 60’s artist Eva Hesse at Bora Aksu’s show, with an audience that included Lady Amelia Windsor.

Claire says, “Firstly I prepped the hair with Go Large Volume Mousse and Easy Side Salt Spray, and then blow-dried the hair with a flat bristle brush. This gave the hair hold and grip but still maintained the natural shine. We put in a soft centre parting, so it felt natural and not too strict.

“I went through the hair in sections and sprayed each one with a generous blast of Hands On Texturizing Spray, then backcombed each section - this will help you mould the hair into the shape later. Then we brushed through the hair and twisted the back up in a classic “French twist” technique securing the hair with large hair pins. It was very important that the hair covered the models’ ears. We moulded some Japanese hair padding into a sausage shape and then wrapped the left over ends of the hair around it and secured it just below the crown of the head, finishing with a final spray of hairspray.”
