Dolce & Gabbana X ghd

Share

Yesterday in Milan, Fashion Week was in full swing, with the city determined to remind the world of the irresistibility of la dolce vita.

Dolce & Gabbana delivered this with a 70’s inspired spring/summer 2021 show dedicated to the designers’ beloved Sicily. Filled with a plethora of floaty, voluminous, semi-sheer maxi dresses and “one-of-a-kind” patch worked garments resourcefully stitched together with fabrics from previous seasons.

Guido Palau created two perfectly polished hair looks in partnership with ghd to complement the colourful collection, using the ghd Helios to prep the hair for a smooth and shiny finish for both looks:

For Dolce and Gabbana this season there was a 70s vibe. The hair had two distinct looks, both with a polished finish. The first being a polished Yves Saint Laurent loose wave and the second a chic polished classic chignon with centre part.

  • POLISHED WAVES: The hair was prepped by blow-drying using the ghd Helios hairdryer for a smooth finish. Then taking small sections, the whole head was tonged with the ghd curve classic curl tong and pinned in to set. When cool, the hair was brushed into full polished waves.
  • CHIC CHIGNON: For the second look, we prepped the hair by blow-drying from a centre part using the ghd Helios hairdryer. The hair was then gathered into a ponytail low into the base of the neck and coving the top of the ears. The hair was then twisted into a chic chignon and pinned in place.
