Belstaff - Heading North

Session Stylist: Teiji Utsumi for Fudge Professional

Collection: Based upon cold adventure riding and the pursuit of freedom, the collection merges Belstaff classics with innovative new materials, constructions and functionalities.

Hair Inspiration: After riding in the snowy mountains, hair reflects the journey through tough terrains and icy glaciers with a mixture of sweaty and matte textures.

Step by Step:

  1. Prime hair with Fudge Professional Tri Blo to create the ultimate foundation
  2. Apply Fudge Professional Salt Spray directly into the roots to create raw grit and texture
  3. When applying Fudge Professional Hair Shaper, push hair up and massage in to create a messy effect
  4. Use a wide tooth comb to smooth top sections of hair to create some structure – this should resemble helmet hair
  5. Use a hair diffuser to dry product in so that you don’t affect the hair’s structure. Use Fudge Professional Dry Shampoo and Elevate Styling Powder to create a dry matte finish

Products used:

  • Fudge Professional Tri Blo, £10.45
  • Fudge Professional Salt Spray, £11.45
  • Fudge Professional Dry Shampoo, £9.95

Kate Eary - 60's Vibes

Session Stylist: Teiji Utsumi for Fudge Professional

Collection: Inspired by a moment in popular music culture/subculture sparked by ‘The Sacred Triangle’ documentary, which analyses the influences of Lou Reed and Iggy Pop on David Bowie.

Hair Inspiration: The look was based around 60’s rock ’n’ roll and inspired by the likes of Teenwolf, The Beatles and Bridgette Bardot. There was a mixture of prominent sideburns, messy bed head textures and 60’s meets 80’s beehives with full fringe hair pieces coloured with Fudge Professional Headpaint.

Teenwolf Step by Step:

  1. Wet hair down with Fudge Professional Tri Blo to create foundation and control, and then apply Fudge Professional Hot Hed Style Whip to layer up the volume
  2. Blow-dry hair in an upwards motion whilst spraying Fudge Professional Skyscraper to create hold
  3. To finish, massage in Fudge Professional Hair Shaper all over the hair to create the bed head effect

60’s Rock ’n’ Roll Step by Step:

  1. Wet hair down with Tri Blo to create foundation and shine, and then apply Hot Hed Style Whip to layer up the volume
  2. Blow-dry hair smooth and then glue in 1 inch wide hair wefts to create sideburns
  3. Add a small amount of Hair Shaper for subtle texture

Brigitte Bardot Beehive Step by Step:

  1. Prep hair with Tri Blo and Hot Hed Style Whip for heat protection and volume. Blow-dry in and then loosely tong the hair to create texture
  2. Sub-divide a horseshoe section away and backcomb the remaining roots. Create a centre double pleat at the back of the head and secure with pins
  3. Backcomb roots of the horseshoe section and pin into a messy beehive shape
  4. Clip on a fringe hair piece and finish with lashings of Skyscraper

Products used:

  • Fudge Professional Tri Blo, £10.45
  • Fudge Professional Hot Hed Style Whip, £14.65
  • Fudge Professional Skyscraper, £9.95

Sibling – 80’s Colour Pop

Session Stylist: Teiji Utsumi for Fudge Professional

Collection: Inspired by Sibling’s obsession with pop culture of the 70s and 80s, especially two of the biggest icons, Grace Jones and Jean Michel Basquiat.

Hair Inspiration: Taking inspiration from the primary colours of Grace Jones’ album covers, acid yellow, blood red and rich blue hair wefts coloured using Fudge Professional Paintbox added a modern twist to the square 80’s buffalo shape.

Step by Step:

  1. Prime hair with Fudge Professional Tri Blo to create light hold and heat protection for the ultimate styling foundation
  2. Apply Fudge Professional Hot Hed and blow-dry sweeping hair away from the face towards the nape of the neck
  3. Glue coloured hair wefts to the front section of the hair in a semi-circle shape
  4. Using a small tong, tightly curl the front and crown sections of the hair to create a buffalo inspired flick
  5. Spray lashings of Fudge Professional Head Shine to create a sweaty wet look finish

Products used:

  • Fudge Professional Tri Blo, £10.45
  • Fudge Professional Hot Hed, £12.95
  • Fudge Professional Head Shine, £10.45

Topman - Slobulant

Session Stylist: Matt Mulhall for Fudge Professional

Collection: It’s all about an eclectic mix of textures and prints. Coining the term Slobulant (tailoring made sloppy) the collection is a nod towards the grungy era of 1993.

Hair Inspiration: To tie in with the grungy vibes of the collection, the hair has been left undone, slightly dishevelled and kept very flat to the head.

Step by Step:

  1. Wet the hair down before applying Fudge Professional Big Hair Bodifying Style Whip and create a loose centre parting
  2. Comb hair close to the head and blow-dry using a hair net to ensure a super flat effect
  3. To add separation, apply Fudge Professional Big Hair Think Big Texture Spray to random sections of the hair. For finer detail, add Fudge Professional Hair Shaper from mid-lengths to ends, paying extra attention to the parting for a wispy, grungy texture
  4. Finish with Fudge Professional Skyscraper Extra for ultimate hold

Products used:

  • Fudge Professional Big Hair Bodifying Style Whip, £11.95
  • Fudge Professional Big Hair Think Big Texture Spray, £11.95
  • Fudge Professional Hair Shaper, £12.95
  • Fudge Professional Skyscraper Extra, £9.95
