Simple steps to creating the perfect rainbow look for Pride month, from Pulp Riot Artist, Heather Shaw…

Step 1: Lift the hair to a level 9 for the perfect vivid pastel result.

Step 2: Pre-tone for the added colour to pop!

Step 3: Take fine horizontal sections working up the hair.

Step 4: Use a foil or meche to paint your rainbow directly onto the hair. Tension is key for precision placement!

Step 5: Apply your colours, such as Pup Riot Semi Permanent Velvet (purple), Powder (blue), Lemon (yellow), Cupid (pink) and Blush.

Top tip! You don’t need seven bowls of colour to create your rainbow. Be smart with your placement. For example, in this look I blend blue into Yellow to create my Green and yellow onto pink to make blush. Simply overlap you colours whilst blending.

Step 6: Once developed rinse with cool water to avoid colour fade.

Step 7: Styling is key to show off your colour. Tong sections for a glam finish.
