PORTS 1961 SS21 X GHD

Share

Ports 1961 presented their Spring/Summer 2021 collection at Milan Fashion Week, which was made up of understated and relaxed garments. The concept of the new collection is to encourage personal comfort with an outfit that will still impress.

Guido Palau created “very cool, very French, and very easy” hair for the show, using ghd tools to create the lowkey look.

Cool French Girl Hair

Guido Palau says:

The look for the Ports 1961 show was inspired by Françoise Hardy who is an iconic French actress from the 60’s; it’s very cool and nonchalant hair, with an outgrown bang fringe coming over one eye. This hair is super easy with low-key texture, but the two styling tools (ghd helios and ghd curve soft curl tong) are key to creating this look. The overall feeling is of naturalness. It is cool French girl hair.

I created this look by prepping hair with a thickening spray and blow-drying with the ghd helios hairdryer to smooth the hair out a little bit. A deep side parting was added, and then once the hair was smooth, I used the ghd curve soft curl tong to create the loosest bend in the hair.

It is a very natural bend – giving the hair a very easy feeling. There was a slight bit of height added at the crown. To finish, hair was tucked behind the ears, with little bits left out at the front to give a boyish charm to the hair.
