R+Co X Moschino

The Moschino show took place on September 8th at Bryant Park on a very wet and rainy day, with the dark gloomy skies being the perfect contrast to Jeremy Scott’s bright creations.

French twists married into airy bouffants and beaded bobs met box-braid ponies at New York Fashion Week’s Moschino SS22 show, where lead stylist Danilo and his team reached for R+Co products that would fight humidity and frizz for the rainy outdoor show while securing the sky-high looks!

FRENCH TWIST BOUFFANT

Hair was blow-dried smooth and R+Co BALLOON Dry Volume Spray was sprayed along strands to build a foundation and add texture. Hair was set in invisible rollers with clips. Once cool, clips were removed and more R+Co BALLOON Dry Volume Spray was used for volume.

Hair was sprayed with DEATH VALLEY Dry Shampoo for body and grip to begin the French twist. While securing the strands into the twist, R+Co OUTER SPACE Flexible Hairspray was used as a working spray. Once the twist was secured, the top of the head was back brushed using R+Co SKYLINE Dry Shampoo Powder for volume and height. The sides of the look were sleeked and secured using R+Co VICIOUS Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray.

BRAIDED + BEADED

For the models who wore beads in their hair, it took 30+ hours of braiding and beading wefts to prepare in advance of the show. Each bead was hand-selected by Danilo’s team, who crocheted the pieces into the models’ hair using a box-braid technique for a combination of low ponytails and chin-length beaded bobs.
