Summer Yellow Hair How To
Spring/summer is fast approaching, and with that in mind we caught up with the Queen of Colour, Suzie McGill, Artistic Director at Rainbow Room International and current British Hairdressing Awards British Colour Technician of the Year, to get her comments on how to create the perfect sunshine yellow hue.
- To start, I used Schwarzkopf Blond Me Premium Lightener 2% toned with Schwarzkopf Professional Vibrance 91 = 1-9 gel developer. This helped me to achieve a clean base before going in with my yellow.
- I then used Schwarzkopf Professional Yellow Chroma and 0.55 vibrance booster on the mid-lengths and ends to create the intense, striking yellow hue.
- My aim with the finished look was to create an almost gradient effect whereby the hair would start as a beautiful clean white/bleach blonde at the roots and then transition to a stunning vibrant yellow.
- To style and enhance the look of the yellow tone, I used the Schwarzkopf Professional Session Label range including the Session Label La Gelée to create a wet, flexible look.
