Opened in 1990, Paul Carlin has seen his business go from strength to strength. Rebranding to Carlin Hair in July of 2014, they moved to impressive premises in the leafy suburban area of Cavehill Road, North Belfast. Paul, with 30 years’ experience in hairdressing, and numerous hairdressing accolades, truly is a colouring expert. This was recently recognised by receiving the prestigious Colour Expert Award from Good Salon Guide - only a handful of salons in Northern Ireland hold this award. At Carlin Hair we are continually working to keep up with trends and new techniques in the market place. This is central to the business' ethos through weekly in-house and regular external training.

Lovingly designed by Directors Paul and Helen, the salon is spacious and has been fitted with some impressive features including an imposing two hundred year old wooden floor reclaimed from a historic linen mill in North Antrim. The Directors devoted many Mondays searching for the perfect vintage furniture. Carlin Hair has also a dedicated area for men’s grooming, which has been furnished and stocked by American Crew. American Crew is the number one selling men’s grooming range in the US. Carlin Hair being the sole supplier in the north of the city. The new salon really has been a success. Not only are the clients delighted with the plush environment, Carlin Hair was nominated in the 2015 final for Best Salon Interior Design in the Irish Hairdressing Awards.
