Cos Sakkas Wins International Hairdresser of the Year
TONI&GUY Global Creative Director and current British Hairdresser of the Year, Cos Sakkas has been presented with International Hairdresser of the Year at a glittering ceremony in Mallorca.
Cos was surprised by International Hairdressing Awards Founder Mikel Luzea and Global Ambassador Sergi Bancells earlier this year when they came to the salon to announce he was the 2023 winner. Cos won the title for the second consecutive year, with a portfolio bursting with work and stunning images from his Vertigo Collection.
The International Hairdressing Awards took place in Mallorca, where Cos was presented with his Purple Lady trophy. The event also presented other awards to international hairdressers who all flew to the island. The audience was treated to stunning catwalk shows by HOB Creative Team, Mark Leeson Art Team, Rick Roberts, Steven Smart, X-Presion and Antoinette Beenders and Salones Carlos Valiente.
Cos said: “To win this award once was amazing, to win it for the second year is incredible! I love what I do every day and for my peers to recognise what I do is humbling. TONI&GUY is celebrating 60 years this year and I have been with them for 30 of those years. It’s an amazing brand, I get to work with incredible people, and it has a fantastic heritage.”
