Awards, Travel & Education at Teresa Weller HairArt

It has been a very busy and successful start to 2024 for Teresa Weller and her team at Teresa Weller HairArt!

The Dorking-based salon started this year on a high after winning Best Colour Salon in Surrey at the 2023 Salon Awards in November. Since then, it has been a rollercoaster of award wins, education, and international travel.

January…

January saw team member, Stephanie Dwyer take her place on the 2024 Revlon Professional Visionaries Team, which is mentored by Revlon Global Director, Mark Leeson. Speaking on Stephanie’s success, Teresa said, “Stephanie is already having an amazing time and we can’t wait for her work to be showcased towards the end of the year. The competition to make the team was national, and we are so proud that she made it through”.

February…

It was an expansion to the team for the month of February, with the arrival of Irene Moreno. Working at the salon three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), Irene perfected her craft in Barcelona where she grew up, before moving to London and joining Tony&Guy. After taking a break to raise her family, Irene is now back working her craft at Teresa Weller HairArt. Teresa said, “Irene loves being part of our team. Her work is beautiful. Her colour knowledge is strong, and her cuts and finishes are second to none. We are thrilled to have her as part of the team!” 

March…

Teresa is highly skilled in the world of bridal hair and styling, so it is no surprise that come March and Hair Magazine’s Awards, Teresa was crowned Best Bridal Long Hair Specialist for the second year running. Teresa says, “I can’t believe I’ve won it for a second year! Hair Magazine’s Awards are so prestigious, and a national award win is amazing!”

April…

Not only is Stephanie busy as a Revlon Professional Visionary, in April she also became a National Educator for Argo styling brushes – holding her first professional class at Teresa Weller HairArt for likeminded stylists. Stephanie’s next course is soon to be announced, and the Teresa Weller team are looking to host similar courses for their clients this summer, showcasing how to style your own hair. April also saw Teresa and Stefani invited to the Revlon Professional Front Row Summit and International Hair Awards, which were held in Lisbon, Portugal. The duo had an amazing time mixing with their hair heroes from across the globe and being inspired by some of the biggest names in the industry.

This year has also seen Teresa and her team flexing their creative muscles producing new collections, which we cannot wait to see! Teresa said, “There are lots of exciting things happening this year with the growth of the salon team and education. It really is a case of teamwork makes the dream work.”
